Open Studio Series - All Levels, Oils and/or Acrylics

10 weeks with breaks for a guest seminar with Linda Lock CDA.
Select from several choices of time slots.

Tuesdays

1- 4 pm, 1-7  starting Jan 10 to March 13

Wednesdays
7-10 starting Jan 11 to  March 21 Note: no class Jan. 25

In the "open studio" format, each student selects project(s) and the medium in which she wants to paint.  We have an extensive selection of patterns and books for sale and if necessary, students may borrow out of print patterns or books from Louise's vast collection.  Painters may also wish to work on their own designs or from photos.

Beginners to advanced levels are welcome in this class and as everyone works at their own speed, there is no requirement for homework between the classes.  Students may work on surfaces from their own supply, or order from us.  Painters often find inspiration in these classes by seeing what others are working on.

The classroom is a well lit studio which features a large picture window with a view to the Credit Valley Conservation properties.  Wildlife are frequent visitors to the backyard.  Seating are sturdy wooden chairs (with cushions if desired) and plenty of table space to allow you some freedom in your surface choice.

Projects: students choice or a class decision is possible for a group lesson
Class max is 6.
Class fee: 10 weeks - $250 for 1-4 pm or 7- 10 pm; or 10 weeks $500 for 1-7 pm.
Daytime registrants may attend the Wed. evening sessions as make-ups, space permitting. Alternate free make-up date tbd.
Space permitting occasional one time sessions (3hours) are available at $30 each.

Your Own Project
"Open Studio" classes are offered as a series so that participants have a regular weekly routine which leads to the on going development of their painting skills. The individual student picks his/her own projects to work on  with instruction and assistance as needed from Louise Scott-Bushell CDA. .  There is emphasis on learning and developing as  painters.

Louise has been painting for 24 years; studying with many different big named artist/designers.  As she has developed as both an artist and a teracher she has retained a keen interest in learning and a wish to pass on her learning to her students.
